Smith Optics - Customer service sucks.
My guide choice xl were great fit and feel. I had them for three months. Appeared to be made wellat first. Had glasses on a lanyard around my neck. I bent over to start the boat and the outside frame at the top of the glasses hit the steering wheel and the lens cracked from top to bottom. Contacted Smith, photos included. They answers saying they werent covered under warranty. I replied and asked if they could repair at a cost. The response was only, we dont do that. The. Gave me the website of a aftermarket lens company. Costa or Maui Jim from now on!!!

Nick, I am sorry to hear that you do not honor your product or the word of your sales people. The only reason I purchased your product was the warranty that your sales person promised.

I have kids and pets, hence the needed warranty. He Assured me the warranty was Rock Solid and even covered loss of product. I intend to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Association to report your company practices.

Lens defect/failure

I spent an obscene amount of money on Smith squead mag goggle , specifically , and only, for the low light lens and it went hazy between the lenses in under 2 hours, rendering it useless, and Smiths warranty process sucks. If and when I ever receive a replacement, it will NOT have a warranty of its own.

Obviously their Quality Control is deficient, and if the replacement fails I am left with a 240$ useless goggle. I've lived at Tahoe for 38 years, and have skied over 100 days a year during that time, and a quality low light lens is absolutely vital here. For the price, the only response I want to hear from smith is "We are so sorry you had this experience and will send out a replacement immediately.

We know how important good vision is for your SAFETY and ENJOYMENT while skiing. You trusted us with 240$ of your hard earned money and we won't let you down." I will NEVER purchase another Smith product and will black out the logo on my Smith sunglasses.

Super easy warranty process

I've seen a lot a negative reviews about Smith on here but my experience with them has been fantastic. I broke the temple of a pair of Smith cycling glasses last week. Took a few photos and sent to them. In less than 24 hours the warranty was approved and they sent me a voucher for a new pair of glasses which will be here in 2-3 days. All in all, I was without my glasses for less than 7 days and all I had to do was pay for shipping.

I sent a pair of Challis Tortoise sunglasses to Smith for warranty, and it was declined because the earpiece was not covered. They offered me a 30% discount on a new pair. I declined since they do not honor their warranty. Costa has a 100% warranty and honors it from my experience. I do not recommend buying Smith products. Products Smith sunglaases.

NeGot a brand new paid of snow googles and it was not sealed properly at time of manufacture, resulting in dew / water settling between the lens. Send back to Smith for warranty service via fedex and it was a total black hole from Smith Optics! Do not buy if you expect any help post purchase!

When they broke two weeks after I bought them I sent them 2 day fed ex and they sent me confirmation u received them and I figured I would be getting new ones BECASUE that's how smith has always been, used to have the best customer service out of everyone, but my faith...

HCan u just send my broken ones back and I'll just glue them, because this has been rediculous and from now on I'll just start wearing Costa del Mars, I hate to say that but I truely got screwed out of over 300$ if u include the 50$ bill I sent in with my drakes, but it is what it is and if not made right like really soon then I am done with smith, please don't let that happen because all I have ever worn is smith and I have always had the best customer service except for this last time, so what do I do? I swear with all my heart I sent in the drakes with the tortise frames and the green 580g lenses and 50$ to get them sent back next day air, but like I said I never heard anything and now that I'm back from Alaska for a week I want to take care of this, because I know in my heart that I sent them too smith optics witha 50$ inside, like I said the 50$ sucks but I truely really care about my glasses that I bucked hay for an entire week to buy those!

Hardest work I've ever done and I bought those drakes with the money I made!
